Color of the Year 2022

One of the things I love most in the world is color. Honestly, it totally jazzes me. When I see a color I love, I often want to eat it! I know it sounds crazy, but it is true. It is one of my most favorite things about that I do, bringing color to people's homes. My all-time most favorite color is periwinkle blue in flowers, clothes, artwork, walls, accents, anything, and everything. I am thrilled to share that a hue of this color is the Pantone Color of the Year 2022, called Very Peri. For the first time ever, this year, a shade was created by Pantone specifically for this year, a color that did not previously exist. With all the changes in the world at this time, it was inspired by a time of great innovation, with things being created that never existed before and how the digital and physical realms are merging. Here are a few examples from my gallery:

We are getting ready to paint our kitchen. I get inspiration by finding color references, picking a color swath, taping it to the wall, and seeing how colors look throughout the day with natural sunlight and in the evening with artificial light. I realized this is the color we are looking for. Periwinkle. Very Peri! From a Feng Shui perspective, I especially love this because our kitchen is in the Wealth & Prosperity area of our home, and one of the colors to enhance the energy of that area is purple! Periwinkle blue is also called lavender blue and is in the blue and violet family colors.
