9 Easy Feng Shui Gifts - Day 9

Today is Day 9 of 9 Days of Easy Feng Shui Gift ideas that I have been sharing with you over the past two weeks. I hope you have been enjoying them as much as I have been in sharing them! (If you missed the gift ideas for the first 8 days, check them out here). In Feng Shui, we use a compass called the Bagua (bah-gwah), divided into 9 areas of life that correspond to specific areas in your home or space. Typically, we use it to analyze how the areas of your space are impacting the corresponding areas of your life. I use the Bagua in my day-to-day life in many different ways, including selecting gifts.

To use the Bagua and apply it to your space, the entrance is always along the side of the Knowledge/Career/Travel areas, and you are facing the side with Wealth/Fame/Relationships areas.

Today, we are going to look at the area we call Relationships, the area of love, which is about our significant relationship, either our current partner or if we are looking for one. On the Bagua, Relationships is in the rear right, the colors are pink and red, and the element is earth. Being of the earth energy, the relationship area is also associated with the females in our home and life -- our mother, daughters, and sisters. My favorite gifts for Relationships are:

  • Flowers - always a great gift for anyone in your life, on any occasion or season! For winter, great red flowers are Amaryllis, Orchids, Poinsetta, and Red Roses. For bringing in live love energy into a home, I like to recommend Orchids.

  • Pairs - when thinking about energizing your relationships, think about pairs, for example, pairs of lovebirds. Many years ago, my sister thoughtfully gave me the wooden plant holder in the photo above, which has a pair of geese on the handle, all with the intention of supporting me in my search for my partner. It was the perfect gift because geese mate for life. Another gift for pairs is candles, with or without candlesticks, preferably in pink or red. For orchids, you can get a plant with a pair of stems. Have fun with this one!

  • Note: For further energizing this area, I recommend putting the pair of candles, orchids or flowers, in the right rear of any room but especially the bedroom.

The most important thing we recommend is when selecting, packaging, and sending or giving your gift, do it with Intention. In Feng Shui, we say, Intention is everything. It is the thing that makes it special and magical. Everyday Feng Shui. It's all right here! As always, I would love to hear from you. What are your favorite gifts for special relationships in your life?
