What's to Come in 2022

I am wishing you a Happy New Year! 2022. What a crazy number. It's hard to believe we're here. When looking at where I am, I often look back to see where I have come from as a marker of all that's happened and an appreciation for what's to come. This year, the marker was two years ago. January 20, 2020, Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday, when I got on an airplane for a three-week Spiritual Retreat in India, and right before take-off, I saw a small news item about some virus that at the time I didn't recognize its name. Yet, I could not shake the feeling of knowing deep down that this was scary and life-changing. Since that moment, the world has changed forever in ways we couldn't predict and are now so much a part of our life. In celebrating New Year's Eve with my family and friends in person for the first time in two years, I was struck by some of those changes, including good things that happened amid a pandemic. I was celebrating two young women who, during this time, got married, and I was meeting their husbands for the first time -- one of them had a baby who is now 16 months old. My two nieces graduated -- one from high school, and one is now in her first year in college, and the other from college and just heard she was accepted into the Vet school of her choice. Our friends who hosted the party gave us a tour of their beautiful home built before and during this time.

What was most striking to me is that while we have hunkered down over the past two years, people have been able to live their lives as best as possible in the face of these challenges—something to celebrate and be grateful for. Every New year is a time of celebrating the completion of the past year and creating a new year. A year of possibilities. A reset of the calendar. A fresh start. And a time to take a breath, pause, and see what's next in life. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to bring Feng Shui to my client's homes and workspaces during this time. With people spending so much time at home, especially in the first year when most were working from home, and many had children going to school, I have had the honor to support them remotely, both locally and globally, to help them create a balanced home, work, and school life at home. Looking forward to 2022, I am excited about what's to come! Here are just a few things:

  • Introducing a MasterClass on Feng Shui

  • Offering new services for homes and businesses

  • Launching a new website

  • Featuring clients monthly

  • Providing Feng Shui tips for you

I would love to hear from you about what you are creating in your new year! And if there is anything about Feng Shui that you would be interested in knowing more about.
