Embracing Being at Home

Updated: Jan 20, 2022

We are all in a time of uncertainty and anxiety. And we've been asked to shelter-in-place and as a result, relocate our work and schooling to our homes. Many of us have not spent this much time in our homes, possibly ever. Now that we are being been asked to spend most of our time at home, nesting, I would like to support you and your family in your home so that you can feel less stress and a greater sense of peace, security, health, and, yes, gratitude or abundance for what we do have. If you haven't already done so, download a copy of EASY FENG SHUI - 9 TIPS by clicking HERE to incorporate Feng Shui into your home to create this environment without any extra expense. This is what I call Everyday Feng Shui. It’s all right here! One thing I’d love to inspire you to do -- today if possible -- is something simple, probably obvious, and something many of you are already doing. In the same way, as it is essential to wash your hands with care and attention, and as needed, it is equally important to clean your kitchen counter and surfaces in the bathroom -- including doorknobs, light switches, and places where we touch all the time and don't think about it. I recommend doing this with a cleaner or disinfectant that you usually use. And throw out those old sponges or wash them, in you can, in the washing machine. These actions are not only cleansing the surfaces but also clearing the air. And here is the key -- set an intention as you clean. In Feng Shui, we say, “intention is everything." While cleaning:

  • Mentally, set your mind to be present and positive while you are cleaning each thing.

  • Visualize as you are cleaning your home; you are also cleaning and healing the world too. Start by visualizing what you are cleaning, for example, the stove, then the kitchen, then your home, then your neighborhood, your community, state, country, and finally, the world.

  • While having a positive mindset and visualizing well-being for you and the world, say out loud, "As I am healing my home, I am healing the world." Or if you prefer, you can say a mantra or prayer of your choice.

Everyday Feng Shui. It's all right here. We can do together what we can not do alone.

Please feel free to share any insights or results. I would love to hear from you!

With love and blessings, Kate
