It Just Takes One Person
As part of sharing my journey with you about speaking on the TEDx stage on October 10, I would like to introduce you to my dear friend and speaking coach, Tricia Brouk. When I first met Tricia, I had a big idea, but I was terrified of the stage and was afraid of being vulnerable and rejected. I thought I was too old to do it and was sure my brain was too addled to memorize anything. Honestly, I didn’t know if I was good enough. What kept me in the game? Having a sense that I had something I wanted to say and reach a large audience from the stage. I knew the minute I met Tricia that she was the one who could help me and I could trust her even when I doubted my abilities. Since working with Tricia, I have done three Speaker Salons, was one of the Speakers Who Dare this past March, and am now a soon-to-be TEDx speaker. I am clear I could not have done this without her support. Over the past two years, many people have asked me about speaking and how I did it. I always share about my work with Tricia and recommend her to anyone interested in speaking. She has been an integral part of my development. Today I am happy to share that Tricia has created The Big Talk Academy, a twelve-week certification program for anyone interested in exploring a big idea or talk. This program will help you identify and shape your big talk, culminating in a signature speech and virtual showcase, bringing you closer to the big stage and having the kind of impact you want. If you are interested in learning more, click here and check this out. Registration is open until October 4. I am also including a conversation that Tricia and I had on her Big Talk Podcast, where we talk about my experience as a Speaker Who Dares and Feng Shui during COVID, and how cleaning your dishes can help heal the world. The episode is It Just Takes One Person. Take a listen and enjoy! Everyday Feng Shui. It's all right here!
With love and blessings, Kate
