Our Home is a Map of Who We Are

Updated: Jan 28, 2022

The other day my husband and I had dinner with his brother to see him off, as he was packing up the final things in his home of over 30 years before moving to North Carolina the next day, his dream home and the life he has been creating for himself for many years. We were talking about Thanksgiving and traveling outside the U.S. for the holiday.

Several years ago, my husband I had our dream house in Costa Rica and traveled there for a long Thanksgiving weekend and some great surfing. Our local friends organized a Thanksgiving meal at our favorite beach restaurant, and we joined a dozen people celebrating a turkey meal complete with passion fruit stuffing and pie. It was a memorable meal and holiday!

This led me to the memory of traveling abroad the fall following graduating college. It was the first time I had ever been on a plane, let alone traveling overseas. Landing in London, I backpacked my way across England, Scotland, and most of Europe before reaching Greece, a place I felt drawn to visit. It was on the Isle of Crete that I had my first Thanksgiving meal abroad -- at a local restaurant with all the other Americans in the area, eating chicken!

I didn't know it then, but this trip was an important part of my journey to discovering Feng Shui. I was searching for something and didn't know what it was yet. It was almost 20 years later that I found what I was looking for.

This past year, I created a talk, Our Home is Map of Who We Are, which captures my journey and discovering Feng Shui and sharing what Feng Shui is and how it works. Take a listen and enjoy!

Everyday Feng Shui. It's all right here.

Please feel free to share any insights, ah-ha moments, or discoveries you have. I would love to hear from you!

With love and blessings,

Kate
